The family of Wanda Carr is requesting a card shower for her 93rd birthday Oct. 18.

Wanda (Herzet) Carr was born on a farm northeast of Marion and graduated from Marion High School in 1940.

She married Max Carr in 1940, and was a full-time wife and mother.

Her children are David Carr, Pat Carr, and Mike Carr, all of Marion; James Carr, Hillsboro; Bill Carr, Jetmore; Tom Carr, Jeanne Higgins, and Susan Wheeler, Wichita; Max Carr, Andover; and Nancy Day, Valley Center.
