Carol A. Johnson, 63, died Feb. 4 at home in Bel Aire. She was born May 18, 1949, in Marion to Harold and Jessie (Higgins) Bowers.

She earned a doctorate in family medicine, practicing with Family Physicians of Kansas.

She is survived by two sons, Caleb Bowers of Bel Aire and David Johnson of Woodward, Okla.; a daughter, Rebekah Johnson of Bel Aire; four brothers, Vernon Bowers and Gene Bowers, both of Marion, Kenneth Bowers of St. Louis, and Norman Bowers of Olathe; and a sister, Janice Bowers of Wakarusa.

A funeral service was Saturday at Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire. Private interment was at Grant Township Cemetery, rural Marion.

Memorial funds have been established for Kansas Academy of Family Physicians Scholarship Fund and Milk and Honey Ministries.
