Carole Post

Carole Post, 74, of Hillsboro, died April 27 in Hillsboro.

Born Sept. 25, 1935, in Peabody, to Arthur and Alice (Hanneman) Schlehuber, she was a Marion High School graduate.

She held an education degree from Emporia State University, taught in Ulysses, and was on staff at New York University.

She was married to Galen Post of Kansas City for 14 years.

Her parents, a brother, Bill, and a nephew, Ryan, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a sister, Anita Hancock of Marion; and two brothers, Larry Schlehuber of Harrisonville, Mo., and Richard Schlehuber of Marion.

Services were Friday at Strassburg Baptist Church.

Burial was in Marion Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with Samaritan’s Purse in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St, Marion KS 66861.
