Marion Senior Center correspondent
USDA commodities arrived March 12 at Marion Senior Center. Sue Clough, Ed Riffel, Gene Winkler, and Gary and Karen Chaput unloaded and boxed them for distribution.
Many patrons wore green on St. Patrick’s Day. Pearl Helmer and Evelyn Jewett celebrated their birthday by bringing treats, and the Happy Hustlers 4-H Club created placemats. Prudy Hansen recited a poem, and Clough led patrons in some Irish songs.
Senior center day was March 19. Clough conducted the business meeting. After lunch, Julie Nelson played piano.
