Centre 4th graders to present Kansas Day program

Centre Elementary School fourth-graders will get a head start on celebrating Kansas’ 156th birthday when they present a historic and musical Kansas Day program at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the main gym.

Each student is doing research on a famous Kansan, and will dress up as this person and share the things they have learned.

Fourth-grade teacher Amy Carlson will lead the program, and music teacher Amy Harms will lead students in singing songs they have written about Kansas.

The program is open to the public.
