Centre boys No. 10 in state

Centre’s boys basketball team vaulted into 10th place this week on the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association’s top 10 list for Class 1A Division 1.

The Cougars have a 14-4 record and finished 8-1 in the Wheat State League.

Two other county teams that had been listed last week — Goessel girls and Hillsboro boys — fell out of the rankings after losses.
