Conner Montgomery swept the competition in his weight range Saturday at the 1A state power lifting event at Claflin. He placed first in bench, squat, and clean, finishing first overall in his weight division.
The team finished in third place.
Chad Mueller placed first in bench and fourth in clean. Grant Srajer placed first in clean, third in bench, third in squat, and second overall. Kyle Methvin placed second in bench, third in clean, and third overall.
Terren Thompson placed fourth in bench, Dakota Stimpson placed fourth in clean and sixth overall, and Bryce Naerebout placed sixth in clean.
Brenna Shields competed in the girls’ division. She placed second in bench and fifth in squat.
