C.J. Thompson led the Centre High School cross-country team Sept. 22 at Marion. He finished the 5-K run in 20 minutes and 24 seconds. Coach Julie Keithline said it was his season best.
Junior varsity runners included Tanner Wiggans 27:09, and Jordan Miller 37:06 in the boys’ division, and Carissa Shields 34:55 in the girls’ division.
Centre’s sixth grade runners competed against seventh graders in the one-mile run. All three medaled. In the boys’ division, Keegan August finished at 9:36, setting a personal record, and Kyle Peterson finished at 10:29. Jenna Bruner finished at 10:49 in the girls’ division.
