Centre FFA members traveled May 4 through 6 to Manhattan where 19 members formed eight teams to compete in State FFA Career Development events.

The agriculture sales team placed eighth overall with member Kevin Lewis placing 14th individually.

Ty Simons placed first in designer practicum. The agriculture mechanics team placed 21st with members Chad Mueller placing in the silver division and Kyle Methvin in the bronze.

The dairy cattle team placed 34th, and other teams participating included livestock evaluation, food science, floriculture, and entomology.

State FFA officer candidates completed their information test and passed to continue with the candidate process. Candidates Makenzie Deines, Kevin Lewis, and Karl Riffel participated in growth interviews May 6. The selection process will take place at the state convention at the end of May.
