The Centre High School golf team ended the season Monday with a fourth place finish at the regional tournament at Herington. Centre was the tournament host.
The top three finishers qualified for the state tournament. They were Centralia, Baileyville B&B, and Blue Rapids-Valley Heights.
Nathaniel Engler led Centre’s team with a 17th place finish of 117. Karl Riffel finished 19th, at 118; Jacob Matz, 23rd at 126; and Dylan Deines, 27th at 138.
Two girls, Allison Basore at 151 and Kristin Vinduska at 180, finished 30th and 31st, respectively.
