Boys get second win
After taking a 62-36 beating at the hands of the Solomon Gorillas the previous Tuesday, the Centre Cougars were happy to score a 40-29 victory Friday over the Peabody-Burns Warriors.
Cold shooting by the Warriors and aggressive defense by the Cougars contributed to the victory.
Peabody-Burns’ Clayton Philpott made two baskets at the outset but after a basket by Cole Svoboda and a 3-point shot by Cole Srajer gave the Cougars a 5-4 lead, Centre never trailed.
Srajer led scoring with 12 points, followed by Dylan Deines with 11.
