Centre runners compete at Hesston

Amy Makovec led Centre’s cross-country team in a meet Thursday at Hesston with a 14th place finish in 19 minutes and 23 seconds.

Other competitors were Nellie Kassebaum, 18th, 18:57, and Ally Basore, 23, 19:05.

In a junior high meet Sept. 10 at Sacred Heart in Salina, seventh-grader Jordan Smith finished second in her division at 6:46, and eighth-grader C.J. Thompson finished seventh at 6:01.

Seventh-grade girl Tori Reneau finished 26th at 10 minutes. Seventh-grade boys Tanner Wiggins finished 22nd at 7:43, and Jordan Miller finished 30th at 10:20.
