Chase Bureman, grandson of Matt and Mary Kay Classen of Marion, completed his second semester in engineering at Purdue University with a 4.0 grade point average.

He was also the most decorated Navy ROTC-Marine Option freshman midshipman, recognized for academic and physical training achievements.

Bureman plans to major in aviation engineering, leading to a career in military aviation.

He is a 2009 graduate of Springfield Catholic High School in Springfield, Mo. James and Sherry Bureman of Springfield are his parents.
