Marion Senior Center

Christmas spirit takes over

Senior Center

Marion Senior Center is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Center patrons Vickie Kaempfe and Shirley Bowers provided a Christmas tree, miniature trees on tables, and banners in the spirit of the holiday season. Daily Christmas music provided by pianists Bowers and Keith Allison also adds to the festive atmosphere.

Marion County Home Health Care recently issued its 2017 schedule. They provide foot care and blood pressure checks twice a month per appointment at (620) 382-3690.

Lydia Gates presented a program Dec. 7 in which she played the piano. Gates and Connie Fisher sang a duet, and Fisher later sang a solo.

Senior Center Day on Dec. 21 will include a Christmas dinner. A Christmas carol sing will be lead by Sue Clough and Allison.

Anyone still seeking gift ideas for friends or family may want to consider center meal tickets. The center also has embroidered tea towels and baby quilts for sale.
