Centre High School junior Josie Peterson was the lone track team member to qualify for the state tournament this weekend.

Peterson placed fourth in shot put at the 1A regional at Madison, with a throw of 28 feet, 11 inches.

Junior Carlye Simons placed sixth in long jump with a 14-8.5. Junior Trevor Troutt had a 90-5 in discus, for sixth place.

Freshman Theo Kassebaum placed fifth in the 300-meter hurdles, with a time of 53.14 seconds.
