CENTRE:   CHS par-law team, creed speaker qualify for state

For the fifth consecutive year, the Centre FFA parliamentary procedures team will be traveling to Manhattan in May to compete at the state level. Freshman Theo Kassebaum will compete in creed-speaking.

The par-law team finished second Thursday at the South Central District Leadership School event at Buhler High School. Members were Brian Burhoop, Tanner Brunner (chairman), Ripley Howard, Tyler Klenda, Tori Marler, and Cole Svoboda.

The aforementioned students along with Nathan Barney but without Tyler Klenda also comprised the senior ritual team which finished ninth and the leadership information team which finished 10th.

A freshman team of Mikael Antoszyk, Cassandra Dones, Trevor Hageberg, Kordell Harding, Theo Kassebaum, and Shane Methvin finished sixth in par-law and fourth in ritual.

The Centre FFA chapter hosted the creed-speaking event in conjunction with the leadership school. Kassebaum finished first to qualify for state competition. Shane Methvin also participated.

Heath Hill assisted with the creed-speaking event.
