Clara Robinson

Clara D. Robinson, 81, of Enterprise and formerly of Herington died Dec. 7, 2011, at Enterprise Estates.

She was born Feb. 7, 1930, at Presque Isle, Maine, to Bertram L. and Mabel E. (Berman) Archer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kansas Authors Club, receiving numerous awards and being published on several occasions.

She married Orren E. Robinson on Feb. 4, 1956, in Bangor, Maine. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1996. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Tompkins, and her parents.

She is survived by three daughters, Dorothea Bishop of Enterprise, Brenda Seeley of Springfield, Mo., and Shirley Tompkins of Maine; two sons, Spurgeron Tompkins of Denver, Colo., and Matthew Robinson of Reiner, Ore.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Enterprise Estates with Pastor Sue Belknap officiating. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
