Clyde Hiebert

Clyde J. Hiebert, 80, died March 28.

Born Dec. 26, 1929, to Sarah (Klaassen) and Linden Hiebert in Goessel, he married Betty J. Voran, Dec. 28, 1950, in Kinsley.

He graduated from Kansas State Teacher’s College, Emporia, in 1951 and University of Northern Iowa in 1959. He taught chemistry at Butler Community College in El Dorado for 33 years.

His parents; a sister, Ethel Lackey; and two stepsisters, Joan Klenke and Ada Francis Biesel, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; a son, Greg; three daughters, Debbie Burrows, Denise Irwin, and Shelley Shipman; six grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Church in El Dorado.

A memorial scholarship has been established at Butler Community College.
