Clyde Secrest Jr.

Clyde A. Secrest Jr., 54, of Marion, died suddenly April 3.

Born Feb. 17, 1956, to Clyde Sr. and Delphia (Hackney) Secrest, he was a master electrician and was an electric maintenance supervisor at Future Foam of Newton.

He married Laurie (Cady) Boden Dec. 19, 1986.

His father; a sister, Kimberly Reising; and a niece preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Laurie, of Marion; his mother, Delphia Secrest of Kansas City; children, Deneane Summers-Santos of Kansas City, Melisa Johnson of Hillsboro, and Jerry Boden, Erickka Griggs, and Ashley Boden of Wichita; a sister, Pamela Bjerke of Olathe; and six grandchildren.

A Rosary was recited Monday evening at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.

A funeral was Tuesday morning at Marion Christian Church.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. today at Maple Hill Funeral Home, prior to a committal service at noon at Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City.

A memorial fund has been established with Marion County Lake Improvement Fund in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St, Marion 66861.
