College Goal Sunday focuses on financial aid

Students needing financial aid to attend college or a vocational school next year, can get answers to their questions at various locations in Kansas on Sunday afternoon.

College Goal Sunday is a free program sponsored by USA Funds and the Lumina Foundation for Education.

College Goal Sunday sessions in this area will be held at Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Emporia High School in Emporia, Friends University in Wichita, and Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson.

College Goal Sunday financial aid experts will be on hand to answer questions and give students guidance about gathering records and information needed to apply for scholarships, grants, and loans.

They will offer advice on filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The sessions will begin at 2 p.m. in each location and last until 4 p.m.

Most sessions will take about 45 minutes.

Students also may get information from their high school counselor.
