On Confirmation Sunday Feb. 13 at Aulne United Methodist Church, nine young people re-affirmed their baptism and were welcomed into full membership in a special worship service.
They were Jennifer Fruechting, Erika Just, Mckenzee Remmers, Becca and Courtney Williams, Cheyenn West, Quinton Hett, Ryan Nelson, and Jared Hague.
The youths presided over the service. They provided the welcome, read scripture, provided the children’s segment, and led the Apostles Creed, the call to worship, and prayers. They also led the congregation in singing.
In place of the message, Hett, Fruechting, and Nelson shared their testimonies of faith. Then each confirmand knelt at the railing to receive a blessing, as well as laying on of hands and a prayer.
The service followed approximately eight weeks of classes taught by the Rev. Moon-Hee and several lay people.
