County, cities fireworks rules differ
A variety of rules for discharge of fireworks apply in Marion County and cities within the county.
Marion County began allowing the discharge of fireworks Sunday. Permissible hours for fireworks are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. Fireworks can be discharged 8 a.m. to 11 p.m Friday and Saturday.
Fireworks will be allowed 8 a.m. to midnight Sunday, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday.
The county fireworks regulations only apply in unincorporated parts of the county. Cities may have their own rules.
In Marion, fireworks may be discharged 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Monday.
In Hillsboro, fireworks may be discharged 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday.
Peabody allows fireworks from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
