Couple announces engagement

Carrie Lynn Darrow and Matthew Thomas Mitros of Seattle, Wash., announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are Bill and Debbi Darrow of Marion and Tom and Jill Mitros of Shippensburg, Pa.

The bride-elect’s grandmothers are Jean Case and Ellen Darrow of Marion.

Carrie graduated in 1999 from Marion High School, from Kansas State University in 2003, and received a master’s degree in Spanish in 2005 from the University of Washington. She is a teacher at Lakeside Upper School in Seattle.

Her fiancé graduated from Shippensburg Area Senior High School in 1996, Pennsylvania State University in 2001, and received a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2006 from the University of Washington. He is a teacher at Lakeside Upper School and South Seattle Community College in Seattle.

A summer wedding is planned at Marion Presbyterian Church.
