Couple to celebrate 50th anniversary

Paul and Elaine (Thelander) Morse will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday.

The couple met while teaching in Haysville and were married at First Covenant Church, Salina.

Paul taught industrial arts in Haysville, Inman, Florence, and Salina before becoming owner and manager of residential rental property. Elaine taught art in the same districts, retiring in 2007.

After living in Salina for 39 years, they retired to a home on Lois Lane at Marion County Lake.

Their children are Lynette Morse of Chicago; Lisa Euzukonis of Boxford, Massachusetts; and Justin Morse of Salina. They have two grandchildren.

A family celebration is planned later.
