Dale Burris

Dale T. Burris, age 82, retired State Farm Insurance Agent, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009.

Visitation was 1 to 8 p.m. Monday with family present 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service was 2 p.m. Tuesday, all at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca St., Wichita.

Graveside services followed at Greenwood Cemetery, with military honors.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Orville Burris; mother, Nettie Burris Kauer; a daughter, Shelley Neihaus; and a granddaughter, Crystal Ream.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Burris of Delavan; children, Don Burris of Benton, Jill (Bryan) Lee of Wichita, Kim (Joe) Reed of Douglass, DeAnn (Mark) Mallonee of Wichita; grandchildren, Craig, Lauren, Kyle, Alex, Jess, Ryan, Casey, Jasmine, Ian, and Erik; brothers, Darrell (Mary) Kauer of Kansas City, Mo., Norval (Mary) Burris of Wichita; a sister, Pearl Weirick of Wichita; stepbrothers, Keith Kauer, Kansas City, Mo., and Bob (Cathy) Kauer of California.
