David Frantz

Farmer and tractor restorer David A. Frantz, 71, died May 20 at Herington Hospital.

Services, preceded by Rosary at 10:30 a.m., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Tampa. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tampa.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.

Born May 23, 1944, in Goessel to Albert and Anna Ratzlaff Frantz, he grew up near Tampa, attended Tampa schools, and served in the Army Reserve from 1964 to 1971.

He married Mary Ann Frick on Oct. 2, 1965, at Tampa. She survives along with a son, Monte, of Enid; a daughter, Tondalayo Schaller of Alexandria, Virginia; three brothers, Daniel of Durham, Leonard of Hillsboro, and Jonas of Tampa; two sisters, Esther Funk of Hillsboro and Edith Unruh of Enid; and six grandchildren.

A memorial fund benefiting the church has been established with Holy Family Parish.
