David Rittgers

David R. Rittgers, 50, former Marion resident, died April 1, 2009, in a fire at his residence in Holcomb.

Born Feb. 10, 1959, in Gardner, he was the son of Donald and Della (Nickel) Rittgers, who preceded him in death.

David was a 1977 graduate of Marion High School. He was employed by Tyson at Emporia and Garden City. Most recently, he was employed at The Thirsty Dog and Premier Liquor in Holcomb.

Survivors include a sister, Debra Rittgers of Lebo.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Marion Cemetery with Pastor Tony Hazen of Lebo United Methodist Church officiating. Follow the service, the family will receive visitors at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion.

A memorial fund has been established at Marion National Bank to assist with final expenses.
