Greg and Rose Davidson of Marion announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel, to Stephen Meehan, son of Clint and Marianne Smith of Philadelphia, Pa.

The couple will be married Aug. 18 in Old St. Mary’s Church, Philadelphia. A reception, supper, and dance will follow at the Omni Hotel. A Kansas reception will be Oct. 6 in Marion.

Rachel is a 2006 graduate of Marion High School. Stephen is a 2006 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia. Both graduated in 2010 from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

They will honeymoon in Ireland, attending a Notre Dame football game against Navy while there. They will reside in Philadelphia.
