Del Leeds

Del Leeds, 58, of Florence, died May 21, 2009, at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.

Born Jun 19, 1950, in North Platte, Neb., he was the son of John and Ella (Winters) Leeds.

On July 1, 1977, he married Darlene Reimers in Grand Island, Neb.

In 1983, they purchased the Holiday Motel in Florence, selling it some years later.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Tony Leeds of Great Bend; his mother, Ella Leeds and a brother, Don Leeds, both of Kearney, Neb.; two sisters, Sandy Parson of Salina and Kendy Herrick of North Platte; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service was Tuesday morning at Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence.

A memorial fund has been established with the PRIDE Committee for Veteran’s Park, Florence, and may be made in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Marion 66861.
