Delilah Deckert

Delilah Deckert, 81, of Hillsboro, died Feb. 5, at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.

Born May 10, 1928, in Roxbury, to Albert and Elsie (Decker) Johnson, she was a public librarian.

She married Algy Deckert on May 26, 1950, at Tampa. He died in 1992.

She was a member of First Mennonite Church of Hillsboro.

Survivors include two sons, Warren of Hillsboro and Marlin of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Diane of Oak Park, Ill., and Karen Young of Wichita; a sister, Rose Goossen of Newton; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Mennonite Church of Hillsboro, with the Rev. Randy Smith officiating.

Burial will be at Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

The family will receive guests from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
