Delores J. Schmidt, 70, of Lehigh, died April 6 at The Cedars, McPherson.

She was born Oct. 1, 1940, in Newton to Edward and Ruby (Adrian) Kasper.

She retired from Sanofi-Winthrop where she had worked in packaging as a light tester. She also was employed as a cook at the former Salem Hospital, Hillsboro.

She was married to Willard E. Schmidt who preceded her in death in September 2006.

Her father and a daughter, Karla Lewis, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Kelven of Assaria; two daughters, Karen Christensen and Marilyn Brumley of McPherson; her mother, Ruby of Newton; and nine grandchildren.

Graveside services were Saturday at Lehigh Mennonite Brethren Church. The Rev. Jim Keil officiated.
