Delores Warnica

Delores B. Warnica, 74, of Marion died Saturday at St. Luke Living Center. She was born Aug. 13, 1939, in Stillwater, Okla., to William and Mary Bradley Schafers.

Her family moved to Marion, and she graduated from Marion High School in 1957. She was a homemaker and worked at Sterling Drug in McPherson. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Mark’s Catholic Church, and the church altar society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; a son, Brian; two brothers, Victor and Bill; and a sister, Josephine Richmond.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald Ehrlich of Omaha, Neb., Brad Warnica of Herington, and Greg Warnica of Marion; a daughter, Gerry Vinduska of Lincolnville; a brother, Tony Schafers of Marion; six sisters, Mary Voegeli and Hope Owens of Chickasha, Okla., Clara Kerntke and Helen Downey of Stillwater, Jeanette Blasi of Wichita, and Frances Klenda of Beloit; and three grandchildren.

The Rosary was Tuesday at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Marion. The funeral was to be at 10:30 a.m. today at the church, with interment at Marion Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with Good Shepherd Hospice and the Fr. Kapaun Fund.
