Marion County Democratic Women met on Friday for lunch at Marion Senior Center. Following lunch, Sue Clough conducted the business meeting.

Marion County Democratic Central Committee chair Eileen Sieger reported a vacancy in the vice chair position, to be filled by a male Democrat.

The state convention in Kansas City, Kan., was discussed. The club will place an ad in the convention program book and contribute to the Robert B. Docking Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Connie Fisher closed the meeting with information about the beginning of Decoration Day, now known as Memorial Day.

Members brought boxed macaroni and cheese for the Marion County Emergency Food Bank.
