Democrats meet

Led by county chair Eileen Sieger, Marion County Democrats met Saturday at Willie J’s Bar and Grill in Marion.

Sieger and Jackie Volbrecht volunteered to serve at the Democratic Party booth last Sunday at the state fair.

Six $100 scholarships were awarded to Marion County high school seniors.

The group remembered Kenny Riffel, Dickinson County Democratic chair, who was recently deceased and signed a get-well card for Martin Hoffer, county vice chair.

The next meeting was tentatively set for Nov. 11.
