Department on Aging to assist with Medicare prescription drug enrollment

The Marion County Department on Aging is assisting older adults in comparing and enrolling in 2013 Medicare prescription drug plans.

Open enrollment starts Monday and continues through Dec. 7. The department can help compare or enroll individuals in a new plan for 2013.

Department on Aging Coordinator Gayla Ratzlaff will be available in the office in Marion to take appointments from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Volunteer Barb Smith will take walk-ins every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon at Marion Senior Center starting Oct. 24.

Ratzlaff will be in Peabody on Oct. 30 and Nov. 5. Call Ruth Lott at (620) 983-2226 to set up an appointment at Peabody Senior Center or Indian Guide Terrace.

Ratzlaff will be in Hillsboro on Nov. 1 and Nov. 27. Call Brenda Moss at (620) 947-2304 to set up an appointment at Hillsboro Senior Center.
