Douglas Patry

Douglas J. Patry, 66, died July 21 at his summer home in Winter Park, Colorado. He lived in Wichita.

Services were to be today at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Wichita. Inurnment was to be at Marion Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 4, 1949 to Albert and Mary Patry at Goessel.

Patry attended Florence High School and graduated from Emporia State University in 1971 with a degree in business administration.

He was a mail carrier in El Dorado, and worked as postmaster in Whitewater, Halsted, and Wellington. He retired in 2008.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Cyr.

He is survived by brothers, Don Patry of Newton, and Charles Patry of Ottawa.

A memorial fund has been established in care of Ziener Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion KS 66861.
