Earl E. “Happy Earl” Hicks, 58, of Marion, died Nov. 28 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born July 12, 1952, in Herington, to Ralph and Haroldine (Blomenkamp) Hicks.

On Dec. 30, 1971, he married JoAnn Klose in Peabody. They were married 33 years. She preceded him in death, as did his father.

Survivors include three daughters, Crystal and Sunshine of Marion and Abby Richardson of Galva; a son, Justin McIntosh of Wichita; mother, Haroldine Hicks of Peabody; two sisters, Sherri Bowlby of Wichita and Pam Rickard of Peabody; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 68, 730 W. Fourth Avenue, Hutchinson.
