Easter Bunny to 'lay eggs' at library

Staff writer

Egg hunters may want to scout out Marion City Library on Saturday for a chance to collect as many colorful surprise-filled Easter eggs as they can lay hands on.

Library director Janet Marler confirmed a long-eared, cotton-tailed celebrity would be at the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt.

“The Easter Bunny will be here for children to take their pictures with,” Marler said. “It’s so sweet and fun to watch the kids. They’re always so excited to find eggs.”

Parents are encouraged have their children there ahead of time and prepare with baskets, bags, and appropriate spring attire.

Two- and three-year-olds will hunt at 10:30 a.m., four- and five-year-olds scavenge at 10:40 a.m., and six- to eight-year-olds forage for colorful eggs at 10:50 a.m.

The event is sponsored by the library and Marion Kiwanis Club. More information is available at (620) 382-2442.
