Eldena M. Helmer, 91, of Marion, died Oct. 3 at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.

She was born Oct. 27, 1918, near Marion, the only child of William and Anna (Black) Schlotthauer.

She married David Helmer on Dec. 7, 1938. They farmed near Marion.

Her husband and a granddaughter preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Darrel of North Fork, Calif., and Gary and Laddie of Marion; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Marion Christian Church.

A private inurnment is planned at Marion Cemetery.
