School board and city elections were Tuesday, and Jan Helmer was re-elected to USD 408 Board of Education while Jana Nordquist and Doug Regnier were elected as new members. Helmer received 135 votes, Nordquist 127, and Regnier 140.

Florence

Edwin H. Robinson defeated Pamelia Wells for a position on Florence City Council representing Ward 2, 22-11. Mary L. Shipman won an uncontested mayoral race with 44 votes. There were no candidates for Ward 1.

USD 397

Clay Simons and Jeff Bina won positions on Centre USD 397 Board of Education with 27 and 3 votes, respectively.

Ramona

The Ramona City Council election was inconclusive, with five positions open. Arthur Stroda received 22 votes; Billy E. Alcorn, 19; A.J. Svoboda, 12; Rachel Mealor, 11, and Jayme Brunner and James Thompson, 8 each. There were 37 write-ins cast. Byron Noeth won an uncontested mayoral race.
