Elgin Hotel set to have cookie swap

Show off your best holiday treat recipes and collect others at 5:30 p.m. Thursday during the Historic Elgin Hotel’s cookie swap.

Participants are asked to bake four dozen cookies or holiday treats along with copies of their recipe.

Organizers will lay out treats and hand out platters so “cookie swappers” can create custom dessert trays for their own celebrations.
