Emergency dispatches

According to fire and ambulance transmissions, monitored by the newspaper:

Nov. 4

5:51 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a patient from Parkside Homes to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

4:32 p.m. — Goessel first responders and Hillsboro ambulance responded to Bethesda home for a woman in her 70s with chest pains. EMTs transported the woman to Newton Medical Center.

nov. 5

8:36 a.m. — Tampa ambulance transported a woman in her 50s having a seizure from Limestone Rd. just north of 370th Rd. to St. Luke Hospital.

12:29 p.m. — Florence ambulance was paged for a male in his 50s who fell and hit his head on concrete and was unconscious on Xavier Rd. south of 110th Rd. Only one EMT was available, and went to the scene as a first responder. Peabody ambulance was dispatched and transported the man to St. Luke Hospital.

8:04 p.m. — Hillsboro fire department conducted training exercises at 110 N. Cedar St.

thursday

4:59 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a patient in his 40s from St. Luke Hospital to McPherson Hospital.

friday

7:43 a.m. — Ramona firefighters and Tampa ambulance were dispatched to the 400 block of B St. for a house fire. At 7:47 a.m. mutual aid was requested from Tampa firefighters. At 7:58 a.m. Ramona firefighters advised the dispatcher that the fire was out and to cancel the Tampa firefighters. Tampa ambulance continued to the scene and transported one individual with an unspecified condition to Herington Municipal Hospital.

saturday

11:39 a.m. — Peabody firefighters responded to a report of a possible gas leak in a residence in the 700 block of Plum St.

1:03 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters responded to a tree dump and grass fire north of Hillsboro on Indigo Rd. The fire was reported extinguished at 2:10 p.m.

3:56 p.m. — Goessel fire responded to a report of a combine fire near the intersection of 120th and Diamond Rds.

sunday

10:12 p.m. — Marion ambulance responded to the Marion Christian Church for a report of a woman in her 90s who was unable to verbally respond when asked how she was feeling. The woman was transported to St. Luke Hospital.

10:49 p.m. — Florence ambulance was paged to respond to US-77 and Yarrow Rd. for a man in his 20s having a seizure in a vehicle. The dispatcher canceled the run at 10:51 p.m., reporting that the man’s parents were transporting him via private vehicle.

monday

4:23 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to an incident described by a dispatcher as an “unknown accident with air bag deployment” that was “four to five miles south” of Hillsboro on Indigo Rd. The ambulance arrived at the scene at 4:38 a.m. and remained there until law enforcement arrived at 4:59 a.m. No transmissions regarding patient information were recorded, and the ambulance returned to base without providing transportation to anyone.

2:26 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance and Marion firefighters responded to a one-vehicle accident north of the intersection of 140th and Nighthawk Rds. The dispatcher reported a woman involved in the accident had pain in her right leg. The woman was not transported from the scene.

5:21 p.m. — Peabody firefighters responded to Fifth and Poplar Sts. for a fire that ignited from remnants of a controlled burn.
