March 7

1:39 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance reported they were released from a scene in Inman where they were reported as in route to at 10:33 p.m. in order to provide assistance for the Hutchinson fires.

10:14 a.m. — Goessel fire told dispatchers they were sending over four firefighters, one brush truck, and one fire tender truck over to Reno County per their request.

12:04 p.m. — Peabody ambulance was asked to stand by near the 200 block of Elm St. for a suicidal subject.

12:09 p.m. — A woman who had fallen at Parkside Homes Assisted Living was assisted by Hillsboro as first response and Marion ambulance. She was transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

4:17 p.m. — Marion fire responded to US-77 for a grassfire near a home. Firefighters reported a live wire on the ground. The fire was reported as put out at 4:58 p.m.

5 p.m. — Marion ambulance performed a basic-life-support transfer from St. Luke Hospital to Newton Medical Center.

5:04 p.m. — Marion fire told dispatchers they were sending a few fire trucks to the Reno County fire.

March 8

12:38 a.m. — A woman reported her husband was deceased in the 200 block of W. 1st St. in Peabody.

12:13 p.m. — A smell of something electrical prompted Hillsboro fire to be called to the 300 block of Industrial Rd. A thermal camera was taken to the scene, but firefighters said that an electrical surger was smoking and no fire was located.

1:53 p.m. — Dispatchers originally asked Marion ambulance to respond to storage units between Dollar General and Rod’s Tires in Hillsboro for a person who had fallen, but wasn’t hurt. Dispatchers then told Marion ambulance that the man was actually at storage units by Dollar General in Marion. Marion ambulance told dispatchers they arrived on scene at 2:03 p.m. Transportation was not provided.

4:04 p.m. — A four-year-old with its leg stuck in a planter was freed without any injuries at a residence on 170th Rd. between Chisholm Trail and Bison Rds. Hillsboro fire, Goessel as first response, and Peabody ambulance were called to the scene, and no transportation was provided.

7:11 p.m. — A woman with low blood sugar and symptoms of a heart attack was taken by Hillsboro ambulance from Parkside Homes to HCH.

7:57 p.m. — Marion ambulance performed a basic-life-support transfer from St. Luke to Via Christi — St. Francis.

8:08 p.m. — A woman who had fallen on her back porch and was complaining of back pain was transported by Peabody ambulance from the 600 block of N. Sycamore St. to Newton Medical. A medical alert company notified dispatchers of the incident.

9:19 p.m. — Tampa fire informed dispatchers that they would be assisting Roxbury fire with a fire on 350th Rd. between Chisholm Trail and Diamond Rds.

THURSDAY

11:23 a.m. — A woman with hypertension was transported by Peabody ambulance from Westview Manor to St. Luke.

11:46 p.m. — Florence ambulance was initially called to perform an emergency advanced-life-support transfer from St. Luke to Via Christi — St. Francis in Wichita, but after there were not two responders available, Tampa ambulance took the call.

FRIDAY

10:25 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance called dispatchers to alert a police officer that there were four to six vehicles racing around Memorial Field and the county fairgrounds.

SATURDAY

2:57 a.m. — Marion ambulance was called to the 200 block of S. Thorp St. for a woman feeling dizzy. Transportation was not specified.

7:01 p.m. — A person having heart problems was transported by Florence ambulance from the 200 block of W. 8th St. to St. Luke.

9:39 p.m. — A person who fell in the 400 block of N. Locust St. was transported by Peabody ambulance to Newton Medical.

SUNDAY

3:27 a.m. — Florence ambulance was called to US-50 between mile markers 309 and 310 as mutual aid for an accident, but were later told to disregard the call.

9:24 a.m. — A man in his 80s who had fallen and hit his head but was conscious was transported by Hillsboro ambulance from Goessel Mennonite Church to Newton Medical. Goessel as first response also was called.

10:53 a.m. — A woman in her 70s who had possibly been on the floor for a day or more in the 500 block of N. Vine St. refused transportation by Peabody ambulance.

12:55 p.m. — Marion fire was called to the Marion tree dump for a fire.

3:36 p.m. — Florence ambulance was called to 110th and US-77 for an accident where a person was complaining of pain. No transportation was specified.

6:28 p.m. — Marion fire was called back to the Marion tree dump for a fire that had started back up. Firefighters reported as being done at the scene at 7:08 p.m.

9:19 p.m. — A person who had a possible stroke in the 100 block of N. Lincoln St. was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke.

monday

11:42 a.m. — A house was reported as on fire in the 300 block of Kansas St. in Lincolnville. Lincolnville fire, Lost Springs fire, Marion fire, Tampa fire, and Marion ambulance responded to the scene.

1:09 p.m. — Hillsboro fire was called to Cedar Hall dorms at Tabor College for an alarm going off.

1:21 p.m. — A person with internal bleeding was transferred by Hillsboro ambulance from St. Luke to McPherson Hospital.

2:47 p.m. — A woman having trouble breathing was transported by Peabody ambulance from the 500 block of N. Vine St. to Newton Medical.
