Applications available for energy projects

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is seeking to assist to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to complete a variety of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Funding is available from USDA’s Rural Energy for America Program authorized by the 2008 Farm Bill.

The program assists agricultural producers and small businesses in converting to energy efficient irrigation systems; installing energy efficient equipment, lighting, and windows; and developing renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and geothermal.
