Mack and Sandy Mitchell of Edmond, Okla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Alee Mitchell, to Adam Gossen, son of Alden and Karen Gossen of Corn, Okla.

Former Marion resident Peggy Thies of Overland Park and the late William Thies are the bride-elect’s grandparents.

Alee graduated in 2008 from Oklahoma State University with a degree in political science and is currently finishing a law degree at the University of Oklahoma, planning to graduate in May 2011.

Her fiancé graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2007 with a degree in biosystems and agricultural engineering. He is employed as an engineer at Chesapeake Energy in Oklahoma City.

The wedding will be May 28, 2011, at the First Christian Church in Edmond.
