Erma Hoffner

Erma Hoffner, 80, of Peabody, died Jan. 17 after a short fight with cancer.

She was born in Council Grove on Dec. 29, 1929, to Harry Sr. and Bertha Nigh.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bobby L. Hoffner.

Survivors include a son, Larry of Lenexa; a daughter, Linda Culp of Auburn, Wash.; two brothers, Marcus and Calvin Nigh; and two grandsons.

No formal services will be held. There will be a gathering from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Fredonia Cemetery.
