Four Centre track athletes placed Thursday at the Steve Herrmann Invitational meet at Herington.

Xavier Espinoza placed first in the 400-meter, with a time of 54.7 seconds.

Barrett Smith placed third in javelin, with a throw of 150 feet, 4 inches.

Max Svoboda placed fifth in the 200-meter at 25 seconds.

Kate Basore finished fourth in javelin at 117-7.
