Evancho take job as interim superintendent for Peabody-Burns

Will steer school while board seeks permanent superintendent

Demitry Evancho of Marion has been hired by Peabody-Burns USD 398 Board of Education to fill the vacancy caused by the recent resignation of former Superintendent of Rex Watson.

Evancho, who lives with his wife, Pat, at Eastshore, was the superintendent at Centre USD 397 from the 1991-1992 to the 2003-04 school years.

Evancho has served at several school districts around the state. He is contracted to serve at Peabody through the end of the current school year.
