Evelyn Ens

Evelyn K. Ens, 83, Hillsboro, died Sept. 11 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

Born July 3, 1926, to Cornelius and Elizabeth (Shierling) Thiessen in Medora, she was married Sept. 2, 1954, to G. George Ens in Inman.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert and James of Lawrence; a daughter, Jeanette Knittel of Shawnee; a brother, Harold Thiessen of Inman; two sisters, Lovella Thiessen of Lipscomb, Texas, and Rosaline Flickinger of Bella Vista, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

Services were Monday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro with the Rev. Roy Keller officiating. Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

A memorial fund has been established with the church and the Hillsboro Community Foundation Senior Center Endowment Fund.
