To the editor:

In the past three weeks Marion High School has hosted the Class 3A State Powerlifting Championships, three seperate track and field meets, and the State Music Festival.

We could not have even thought about hosting any one of these events without the world-class volunteers who give of their time and effort to make certain that Marion High School and the City and people of Marion are shown in the best possible light.

I am constantly asked by our visitors “How do you get so many people to help?” and “How do they know how to do the events and do such a great job?” All I can tell them is that we have a great community of teachers and volunteers who care about the students of Marion and the students of our visitors, and this group of first-class workers tries to do everything they can to make certain we host these events as well as we can.
